Chasing dancing spirits
Overlimbs is an open ecosystem in which different art forms meet, influence each other, and evolve.
Rather than having a fixed structure, it is an evolving organism that brings together dancers, musicians, videomakers and performers from across Europe who share a sense of urgency about collective, porous and unconventional practice.
Founded in 2020 by performer Giovanna Zanchetta, Overlimbs thrives on temporary collaborations, unexpected connections, and flexible projects. It is not a place to live, but a path to follow — or deviate from. Our mission is to create fertile ground for artistic hybridisation and the free exchange of ideas.

Exploring the concept of connection leads us towards its opposite and the experimentation of what instead the body - the image - the mind can bring forth when the logical link between human, space and time is broken.
These three macro-texts dissociate themselves from each other and from the dimension imposed on them by social convention. The machine and the montage accommodate the experimentation by exasperating the concept of disconnection that already emerges from the image.
